Tombstone, Arizona Territory Advertising Note for Russ House 1885
Grade:
VF
A fantastic ad note on the back of a facsimile Confederate 50c note of 1864. The Russ House was a famous Tombstone hotel and restaurant run by Joseph Pascholy and Nellie Cashman. Nellie Cashman was one of Tombstone's more colorful female entrepreneurs. She was honored on a U.S. 29 cent postage stamp in 1994. The Russ House building, now known as the Nellie Cashman Restaurant, still stands in Tombstone. A wonderful piece of Arizona Territorial history.
