A neat item that recently turned up. This 1864 $5 with serial #1 would be a wonderful addition to a collection of quality Confederate currency. Excellent condition but certainly one part of an old album, as there are some edge chips and old residue at left margin, and the inks have partially burned through the paper, particularly at the 'for Treasurer' signature. Still, an important item worthy of a fine collection.
