January 2, 1860. A well circulated note from this bank that later became the National Bank of Lawrence County (charter #1156). This bank was also a reorganized version of the Bank of New Castle which had been suspended in 1857 after operating for a couple of years. The margins are slightly rough on this note with pieces missing in places. Haxby PA-345, G 14a.
