This is a very attractive $5 Brown Back from this early New York City bank. There are 26 large notes reported, with this note last appearing in our Memphis 1996 sale. Excellent centering and great color with pen signatures of W.B. Wooward and H. Chapin, Jr. This is one of the best notes known on the bank. From the David Davis Collection.
