May 15, 1854. A beautiful proof note from this northern Indiana bank. Everything about this note is perfect except for the punch cancels and the "Property of American Bank Note Co" stamp on the back that has bled through to the face. This bank later became the FNB of Elkhart. Haxby IN-150, G6a.
