March 1, 1859. This note came with the #1 National Bank Note on the same bank after it became a national bank. There is a tiny hole near the top but the beautiful vignette of the horse-drawn streetcars near the docks is extraordinary. This is one of the coolest vignettes I have seen on this ABNC note signed by J.H. Frothingham and C.C. Smith. I was led to believe that the note descended from the president's family.
