Fr. 1802-2 $20 1929T2
Grade:

This extremely rare Jefferson County bank opened at the end of July 1929 and issued a mere pocket change circulation over the next six years - just $36,000. Just a single note has ever been offered for sale from this tiny bank (2010), and prior to that this was the last unreported New York bank that issued solely Series of 1929 notes. This is the bottom note from the first sheet of Type 2 $20s issued, clear evidence that there is no Serial #1 sheet tucked away somewhere. This a real peach - a fresh and totally unmolested bright and crisp note that will be one of the highlights of the collection it now enters.
