Richmond Bank of the Commonwealth $100

Haxby VA-170-G10a. Sept, 21, 1858. Low denomination notes from this bank are common, but not this $100 which has great color and style. Heritage has auctioned two examples at over $1,000, led by the Newman Collection note just eclipsing $4,000 in PCGS Apparent XF 40. This is colorful and has the appearance of higher grade. Two fountain ink spots are noted on the back.
