Colonial Currency > New Jersey
NJ-110 15 Shillings November 20, 1757
Grade:
PCGS Apparent Fine 15
A very scarce earlier New Jersey issue that has the look of a VF note with a split at center and a bold nature print on the back. Contrary to the usual order of things, with this issue the two lowest denominations are by far the scarcest in terms of availability. We can rarely recall ever seeing a 6 Shillings note and the 15 Shillings is hardly ever encountered either. The Newman value of $250 in Fine and $500 in VF is actually ridiculously low for this scarce note.
