Memphis became the county seat of Hall County in 1890. The name was selected after one of the founders saw a letter that was accidentally addressed to Memphis, Tennessee. This is the only available Red Seal for the town of Memphis and Hall County, as there is one in the Moody holdings. A neat Red Seal with red signatures of D. Browder, President and S.S. Montgomery, Cashier. Last appeared in the Lipka Red Seal Collection in 2010.
