A rather common charter number but with only a half dozen $10 Brown Backs listed in the census. Hulking margins, boldly-accomplished signatures and near perfect centering give it as much eye appeal as one could hope to find on a Brown Back. PMG has commented "retouched", which we still haven't been able to define but are pretty sure is outlawed in most of the states of the Union. We sold this same note in our 2000 CPMX sale for $805.
