Boston Cochituate Bank $1000
Grade:
PCGS VF 35
Haxby MA-130-G20; Whitman MA-400-1000-G110. Nov, 1, 1853. A very rare denomination from the most common issued obsolete note bank. The bank supposedly had funds to redeem at their closing, but instead it left us thousands of notes for the numismatic sands of time. However, there were few $500 and $1,000 notes. All auction records surveyed are over a grand for inferior notes. Conservatively graded when weighed with its exceptional eye appeal. Tight trim is typical, but virtually complete.
