Very Desirable $10 Reno Uncut Sheet

National Bank Notes > Nevada

Reno, First NB, 7038
Fr. 1801-2 $10 1929T2
Grade: PCGS Ch. Abt. New 58 PPQ     PCGS
In round terms there are approximately a gazillion $5 sheets known on this bank while the $10 is far scarcer with roughly 10 listed in the National Bank Note Census since we know of at least a couple that have been cut up for high grade notes. We can only find three uncut sheets that have sold in the past 15 years, with the next sheet after this one, #6487, selling for a five-figure price in a 2001 CAA sale before the market took off. The market for rarities and high grade desirable items is back with a vengeance and we would be shocked if this sheet didn't realize a solid five-figure price. The embossing is absolutely superb and the paper as crisp and fresh as if it were printed last week. It is difficult to locate but it appears there may be a minor diagonal corner bend going through the bottom note which accounts for the conservative grade. The cut value of this sheet is considerable when one considers that the last couple of F/VF notes that have sold brought $1500-$2,000 each. These will primarily be solid Ch. CU examples that should realize multiples of that figure.
Current Bid: $ 7,500.00

Estimate: ($ 12,500.00 - $ 25,000.00)
