The replacement notes from this final $5 silver certificate series are much scarcer than the others, and they always seem to show up in either Very Fine or Gem CU grade. This puts a lot of upward price pressure on solid XF and AU notes as collectors struggle to find a price point between grade and value that makes sense to them. To that end, the only other recent example we can find, aside from this one, is a PMG XF 40 that sold for close to $8,000 back in 2012.
