A note that is always immensely popular due to the fact that the University of Notre Dame is in town. Originally chartered in 1863, the bank liquidated in 1932, thereby issuing Type One notes only during the small size issuing era. We rarely encounter Gems via the auction venue and whenever they do avail themselves prices continue to escalate. A dozen years ago we sold the "F" position note of this serial number for $575.
