Highly Coveted Ephrata $5 Brown Back

Fr. 473 $5 1882BB
Grade:
PMG VF 25
While available enough in small size this bank is not so obtainable as a Second Charter large note. It is from heavily collected Lancaster County and bears the scarce Rosecrans-Morgan signature combination. These two served together for a mere 18 days in 1893 and only 20 banks bear this signature combination for $5 Brown Backs. Heritage sold a VF/XF for over $2,000 in 2010 and we sold a VF/XF for $1,610 in 2013. Clearly a four-figure price tag should be required to obtain it.
