Benjamin W. Hitchcock and Charles C. Denton created Ozone Park out of Queens farmland in 1882. The area became further developed and urbanized with the arrival of the railroad. In business for a mere dozen years from 1922 until the receiver arrived in 1934. Third Charter Plain Backs only in large size with only a dozen and a half known, four of which sold recently as an uncut sheet. There is a trivial repaired edge split seen at bottom center. Always a highly desirable note and with eye appeal that we rarely see.
