PCGS Apparent Very Ch. New 64
Your cataloger is flabbergasted by the quality of this colonial that is simply never seen in CU grade and is always seen with multiple tears or other such maladies. The note has extraordinary margins, flashy bright paper surfaces, wonderfully bold signatures and absolute originality. This is the true definition of 'boardwalk margins' as you could literally stroll two abreast along the bottom and right borders, both of which show the full plate impression from the sheet. We see a single speck at the back left that could be construed as a mounting remnant but that can easily be trimmed away if one chooses. The only other example that is comparable to this is #972, graded PMG 64 EPQ, which sold in the massively undervalued Midnight Ride Collection in 2009. Even that day it realized $1,380 and we certainly are living in a far healthier financial state at the present time.
