An absolutely rare invert of this fiber paper Fessenden type with the "a" on face position indicator. A note that would easily grade Choice CU or better but for margin tightness, and with the Premium Paper Quality designation well deserved. This is the plate note from Friedberg's Fractional Encyclopedia and it is photographed on page 100. The only other example known is a dark and muddy looking Very Fine. In 1997 this note originally sold for $825. It is in a class by itself and it will take a solid four-figure price to obtain it this evening.
