Type of Fr. 1284 with bronze '25' denomination counter and '18-63' surcharges on back. Typical half moon cancels and stamped "SPECIMEN" as usual. A spectacular example of this experimental type that will fill a gaping hole in many advanced collections. When this sold as part of the fabled Chapman Brothers holdings, it brought $600, a mark that could easily be eclipsed today.
