Any Confederate note issued west of the Mississippi is a desirable note and ones from Texas are of particular interest since there is such a strong collector base there. Dated 'Houston March 31, 1863' below the interest-paid stamp. An exciting, problem-free example that is typically worth several hundred dollars in this state of preservation.
