While certainly not a scarce bank, Red Seals are certainly a much tougher animal than the rest of the banal Third Charter notes. Possessing all the aesthetic charm that a large size national is capable of, with superior color, fresh paper and tons of originality. A stone's throw from the full XF grade and in our opinion more than capable of reaching such heights. Its first auction appearance was in the depressed 2009 market and even then it brought $805, with tonight's realization a virtual certainty to top that paltry figure.
