This dark background note by itself is probably worth $100 in this grade but with its inscription on the back it carries far more historical interest. "Mother gave Me, May 1, 72. Irwan Williams." The year "72" obviously pertains to 1872 which is what makes the inscription contemporary to the circulating period of this piece. Very cool if you ask this cataloger.
