Colonial Currency > North Carolina
NC-162b $5 April 2, 1776
Grade:
PCGS Apparent XF 45
This is one of the most fascinating series in all of Colonial currency, with 56 different varieties and a plethora of different denominations. The $5 note is the variety with the Triton vignette at lower left. Bright and very well signed with a couple of minor issues. The last few that we have seen sold, all apparent graded, that were around the XF grade all realized around $500 or so. This handsome note should perform in like manner. Stains, lower right corner repaired.
