Just a stunning example of this much scarcer 1777 issue that has great margins, exceptional centering and mountainous embossing. This note truly falls just short of the Superb Gem grade as is not nearly as common as the 6 Pence small change note that appears most frequently. We routinely see examples in this grade topple the four-figure mark which is validated by the Newman value of $1,500 in Choice CU.
