T-59 $10 April 6, 1863 Dual Issue Stamp Error
Grade: PMG Ch. Abt. UNC 58 EPQ, CC
A very desirable type at this grade level with a Ch. CU look but some light corner handling. What is so intriguing about this piece is that it displays a dual July, 1863 stamp; one at upper right and a second one at lower left. This does not occur very often and when it does there is usually a frenzy to obtain one. A few years ago the Honorable William Kelly collection had a VF 30 example sell for close to $300.
