Fives only were issued by this Upper Peninsula bank with auction appearances few and far between. Listed in the census as VF and we concur with that assessment, also noting that there is plenty of serial number and charter embossing visible from the back. Broad and balanced margins only enhance the visual appeal of this note. Sold years ago for $1,100 which is not an aberration when one considers that almost every Ch. Fine or better example easily transcends the $1,000 plateau.
