One word...stunning. Here's another...breathtaking. If we all had notes in our collections that had this kind of eye appeal we would be far more satisfied in our collecting endeavors. Everything about this note gives it the look of a piece that just flew off the presses. The bronzing could blind you, the colors will dazzle you and the embossing is piled as high as a Boston winter snowstorm. On top of all that, the note has a full frame line seen on all sides and the margins are quite wide at many points. Also intriguing is the pre-print crinkle that is seen along the top of some Fr. 1344/1346 notes. If you look at auction records of recent years you will see this is a much scarcer number and one which typically sells in the $400-$600 range. Such will not be the case here this evening.
