Brown Backs only from this short-lived New York City banking institution that only survived for five years before liquidating in 1906. With about 20 examples known on the bank there are relatively limited opportunities for all the collectors of Brown Backs to obtain such a prize. We sold the consecutive serial number 9958 in our 2014 CPMX sale. That was a PMG Ch. AU 55 that sold for $2350. The way this note faces up you would be hard-pressed to tell the difference.
