Tied for finest known: four at this grade level between both services. High-grade examples with the "A" on face are much harder to come by than its Fr. 1238 cousin. Gargantuan margins and near-perfect centering make this a real treasure for type. This note brought $1,380 at auction in the past few years and we just saw a Fr. 1238 in PMG 67 EPQ sell for a four-figure price.
