Haxby 785-260. The obligation notes "Payable to the Cashier of the Phoenix Bank at Hartford, Con. Pay to John Brooks." A rare early proof, dated 1816, and the only one we can recall having seen. PMG notes: repaired, but any repairs are trivial at best.
