A tough and desirable note from the only bank to issue in this tiny Luzerne County hamlet that sits on the banks of the Susquehanna River just opposite of Shickshinny. The bank issued both large and small notes in the $5 denomination only. Though a dozen small are reported, most are in tight hands as these rarely come up on the market. Just three have been sold at public sale in the last 15 years.
