September 17, 1860. Egg Harbor City was originally settled by German-Americans from Philadelphia who were escaping the Know-Nothing Party movement. The Egg Harbor Bank only operated from 1860-61. This $2 is the variety with green "2"s. There is a small paper pull and some ink notations on the back. Haxby NJ-115 G4b.
