NJ-98 30 Shillings June 22, 1756
Grade:
PCGS Apparent Fine 12
This is the earliest of the readily obtainable New Jersey issues. The 1 Shilling up to 15 Shillings are quite common, especially in high grade, since they survived in sheet form. The 30 Shillings and higher denominations are much scarcer and rarely come with any grade. This one has a repaired center split but which otherwise has the eye appeal of a well-signed Very Fine. Only 2,000 were printed of this note with Newman listing this at $500 in Fine and $750 in Very Fine.
