An astounding T-41 note that looks like a near Gem on its own merits but for the smallest upper right corner tip fold that barely intrudes upon the design. A broadly margined and very well centered example that has superior depth of embossing. The back doesn't have any of the usual interest-paid stamps but more importantly it bears the handwritten inscription 'issued New Iberia, LA March 25, 1863.' Such Trans-Mississippi issues are far more desirable and this is easily the nicest example we have ever seen from this location.
