Contemporary counterfeit. Through the holder this Yorktown note looks like a gorgeous near Gem but for some very difficult to see corner rubbing. Even as counterfeits these bring almost as much as the genuine item and those are solid four-figure notes in the AU grade range. This is the scarcest Continental issue and we would assume a healthy realization from this delightful example.
