A wonderfully signed and boldly printed example of this much scarcer denomination. This is an available issue for all denominations up to 15 shillings due to sheets that were cut up over the years. The higher denominations are much scarcer and did not survive in high grade. The printing number for the 3 pounds note is only 1,000 compared to several thousand for each of the lower denomination notes. This note has been net graded; it is a solid VF/XF example with some tape repairs confined to the back of the note. Newman lists this at $600 in Very Fine with no higher grade valued.
