Augusta Bank of Augusta $20 Proof
Grade: PMG Ch. UNC 63
While there have been a plethora of Georgia Obsoletes on the market in the past 6 months, surprisingly few were of this Bank of Augusta type. The Dorris collection had a PCGS Apparent AU 58 note that realized over $400. This note has an oval portrait of Sir Walter Raleigh at left with a central vignette of Justice standing by an eagle and holding a portrait of George Washington. PMG notes minor stains and they are barely visible.
