Fr. 1321 type with bronze oval on face and "R-2-18-63" surcharges and denomination counter on back. Simply a rare experimental. Friedberg listed two known but there were a couple in Ford as well. Back color is carmine red with bronze oval that would normally encircle the portrait on a regular issue note. Printed on fiber paper and absolutely rare in this uncancelled state. We have seen near Gems easily topple the $2,000 figure and this one could make a run at that mark with a light corner fold accounting for the grade.
