Ch. UNC May 1777
Continental Currency
CC-65 $4 May 20, 1777
Grade:
PCGS Apparent Ch. New 63
The May 1777 issue is the second scarcest of the eleven Continental emissions, behind only the fabled Yorktown issue of April 1778. A very well signed piece that stands on its own merits as a Ch. CU note. The Boar Charging Spear vignette is superbly detailed and the mounting remnants on the back corners are extremely light. The only recent record we can find was an Apparent New 61 that sold for $1,175 back in September and this note is its taskmaster.
