Rarely do Gem examples of this Friedberg number come along due to the fact that there is almost always one very tight margin (usually at the left). This note exhibits utter originality, huge margins and exceptional centering. The bronze oval is so bright that you must shield your eyes to look at it. The surcharges are razor sharp and if the back design didn't just touch the edge this would likely have graded superb. Green Sheet ask is $240 and that is for the far more common Fr. 1244.
