KSG 5.9.2. An incredibly rare piece of early scrip and in a condition that we just never see. Only two denominations are known in the Shank reference. Plentiful margins, boldly-accomplished signature and utterly problem-free paper add tremendously to both the eye appeal and value of this piece. It is really uncommon to see many pre-1820 notes with this degree of embossing and solid paper surface quality. The only other piece we have seen at auction in the past two decades was a F/VF piece with rough edges which sold multiple times at an average of about $1,000 each. The present offering should perform far better.
