This is truly one of the nicest examples of this more challenging experimental that you will have the pleasure of being able to locate. First off, the note technically falls just short of the gem grade but reality dictates that it is a Gem in every facet. A perfectly centered bronze oval on the face with purple 'SPECIMEN' diagonally through the center and two half-moon cancels present. This is a tougher variety with the back showing the Fr. 1286 design; a bright bronze '25' denomination counter and bold 'S' and '18-63' surcharges.
