Listed in Friedberg as "Very Rare" in all grades and understandably so as there were only 500 printed of this denomination. Bold signatures and superb color are seen on this glorious piece. We have only seen a few of these over the years and they are always Fine or VF with different problems. This note grades XF, which is unheard of, and it resides in a comment-free holder. The only recent record we can find is a PCGS VF 30 that sold for $1,265 in the 2012 FUN Sale. Newman lists this at $2,000 in VF with no higher grade given. Expect some fierce competition for this trophy New Jersey note before the hammer falls.
