JL PB70-UNL. Feb. 22, 1862. Blue ink is used on this elaborately formatted Virginia merchant note. But for a small upper right edge tear, the paper appears to be pretty crisp and certainly flashy. A darn rare note that will be fought over by several serious collectors.
