A very rare early note from this popular bank, the only one in Pasquotank County, and for that matter, the only bank even close to the Cape Hatteras region. While notes on this bank's second title are common, just a handful of notes are known with this, the bank's first title, in use between 1891 and 1918. Brown Backs from here are few and far between, and in great demand. This is a very solid and attractive note, with nice pen signatures of W.T. Old, Cashier, and Charles H. Robinson, President.
