This is an extreme rarity among $50 Silver Certificates as there are 21 known, but only 16 in private hands. This note is tied for the finest known as an AU. The note from the Great Lakes Collection appears to have been more soiled. In 1998, CAA sold this note for $16,500, but in June 2000 it realized $10,450. Today I expect to see strong activity as a condition census rarity that still seems to be a great value in the estimated range. Graded Abt. New 53 by PCGS.
