When I see a note like this for the first time I think "man, I could build a beautiful sale around this," and it seems as though I have. Before I saw this note in the safe deposit box I did not known it existed, even though it's likely been on the census for many years. We know the bank is not rare but it's elusive and popular, and this is absolutely the finest known on this charter #1000. If they find 67 more notes I will still pick this jewel to represent the bank, the type and any other reason that will make me have to have this. Exceptional pen signatures and excellent paper quality, save couple of pinholes and two tiny pinhead rust spots. There are 67 $50 1875 Series reported and just about one-half are lower grade, with many similar and not many better.
