Here is a fabulous $20 First Charter, loaded with tons of originality that is rarely seen on these early notes. The bank, chartered in 1882, barely made it under the wire to issue 6,307 sheets of $10 and $20 1875 Series notes. That was enough to last them until Red Seals were ordered. Today, only six examples have been traced from those few sheets of First Charters. The remaining notes on the bank are all Third Charters and small size. According to Track & Price, this is the best Series 1875 to be offered at auction in recent memory. You will love this note!
