This note was the Thompson-Shiva piece and is one of only 10 reported examples, none of which appear to be in museums or with the government. The signatures on this triple-signature note are Tho. Hillhouse, G.W. Scofield and James Gilfillan, all printed. The color and centering are excellent. It appears that four are better than this note. This piece sold for $11,000 in the Shiva Collection. The Bass note, in XF, sold for $41,400 in 1999.
